What is Ruthless AI?

Ruthless AI combines chat, coding, web research and image and video creation in one workspace. Choose an effort and speed setting, then use the website or connect your own application through a Ruthless API key.

How do effort and speed work?

Medium, High and XHigh change the reasoning configuration and price tier. Standard or Prioritize speed chooses a routing preference. Response time also depends on the task, response length and current availability. See current prices before choosing.

Can Ruthless search the internet?

Website chat can search when needed and read public page links. Completed research answers show source links so you can check the evidence. Search and page reading add their displayed charges to chat-token usage; generated answers can still contain mistakes.

Can I attach files or make images and video?

Use the plus button or drop a file into the composer. The workspace accepts text and code files and has separate image and video input modes. Choose Create an image or Create a video to generate media; an attachment for understanding and a reference for creation are different uses.

Image creation offers 2K formats. Video creation offers 720p or 1080p and 2–15 second clips. Available modes and the quote are shown in the composer.

Can I use a Ruthless key outside this website?

Yes. Use an application that supports a custom OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions connection. Enter your Ruthless key, https://getruthless.io/v1 as the base URL and ai-gateway as the model. The API guide includes working request formats, streaming and agent tool calls.

Is Lucian part of Ruthless?

Lucian is an external client where users can connect a Ruthless API key, like other compatible applications. It is not imported into Ruthless. An API key does not give Ruthless access to unrelated conversations or applications.

Does an agentic API key run tools by itself?

The API can request calls to functions that your application supplies. Your client executes those actions with its own permissions and sends back the results. Native website web search is available separately; a key does not itself grant access to your computer or external accounts.

How am I charged?

Chat uses input and output tokens at the selected effort rate. Images, video and web tools have separate prices. Website and API usage share your account balance. The workspace records request usage so you can inspect the actual charge. See the complete price breakdown.

Why can my available balance differ while a request is running?

Credit is reserved for the work in progress. Confirmed usage is settled against that reservation and unused credit returns to your available balance. A video can be playable before its final bill has been confirmed; check the original job rather than creating it again.

Read the privacy notice for account, request and data-processing details. Contact simeon@socialiser.app for support. Keep your API keys private and never include a full key in a support message.
